Chief Executive Officer

Jim Reed’s leadership talents stem from a passion-driven career dedicated to coaching and leading teams of highly-talented, high-performing professionals. Educated in the University of Pennsylvania’s renowned Wharton Business School, Jim has over 40 years of food industry experience—including over 30 years in the meat industry—and earned certifications in the Philip Crosby Quality College and Train the Trainer. When not at work as EDDY Foods’ CEO, Jim enjoys traveling, hitting the links or the disc golf course, spending time with his wife, Donna, and their five children, and spoiling their three grandchildren. His favorite EDDY Foods item? The spicy and delicious Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage.

Rick Goodman

Rick Goodman

CCO and Executive VP of Sales and Marketing

Rick Goodman is a person who knows a lot about people—and a lot about meat. As EDDY Foods’ Chief Customer Officer and Executive Vice President, Rick works to unite his team around one common goal while having fun in the process. His education at Wofford College led him to a 30-year career in the food business, where he has held a variety of positions. Rick enhanced his leadership experience by earning certifications in Train the Trainer, the Phillip Crosby Quality College, and Servant Leadership. Rick’s favorite EDDY Foods item is, as he claims, the “best sausage ever made by anyone”: EDDY Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage. Rick and his wife Joelyn have been married for 33 years, and they have four children and four grandchildren. In his free time, you’ll find Rick enthusiastically following all sports—especially College football, playing with his German Shepherds, and getting out on the open water.

Nathan Yearsley

Chief Financial Officer

Nathan Yearsley is a Chief Financial Officer with a passion for supporting others to grow and thrive in their professional roles. A Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Nathan earned his MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Middle Tennessee State University following a bachelor’s in accounting from Idaho State. Nathan’s favorite EDDY Foods products are the Beef Fajita products—only slightly ahead of the Carolina Pride Thick Cut Bacon. When not mentoring future leaders at work, Nathan is a passionate outdoorsman who enjoys fly fishing for trout and snow skiing, as well as combining his interests in blacksmithing and woodworking to handcraft furniture and home décor. He and his wife of 27 years, Shelli, have two grown children.

Carlos Briones

Carlos Briones

Vice President of Human Resources

Carlos joined the EDDY Foods team on May 20, 2019—bringing with him 23 years of experience in the food industry. He has worked with a number of major companies and has worked with facilities producing multiple proteins such as chicken, turkey, beef, and pork. Carlos retired from the United States Marine Corps and is a graduate of Northwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Associates Degree in Business Management. He is also an SHRM Certified Professional. Residents of Katy, TX, Carlos and his wife, Jinok have two daughters, Isabel and Lizzy. Carlos and Jin love spending time outdoors—especially when participating in some of their favorite activities, which include fishing, hunting, hiking and playing golf. Carlos is a self-proclaimed backyard BBQ master and loves EDDY Foods’ smoked burnt ends brisket.

Don Holton

Don Holton

Vice President of Sales

Don Holton believes that teamwork is everything—and that the synergy from an in-step, unified team delivers results exponentially greater than the sum of results of its individual members. As Vice President of Sales for Carolina Pride Foods, Don delivers expertise in meat sales developed throughout a career with industry leaders like Smithfield, Sara Lee/Bryan, Lykes Brothers, and Cargill. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of North Florida. Don’s favorite EDDY Foods product? The best-in-class bacon. In his leisure time, Don enjoys spending time with his family and pets, exercising, boating, traveling, and relaxing at the beach.

Kieley Stibich

Kieley Stibich

Vice President of Sales

Kieley Stibich strives to serve the EDDY retail team by engaging each of their talents to improve the team as a whole—and provide clarity to the EDDY vision to help provide the tools to take action and sell more delicious food! In her role as Vice President of Retail Sales, she has spent most of her 20-year tenure in the meat business at EDDY, working her way up from a sales manager to her current executive position. Kieley’s favorite EDDY Foods product is the Cilantro Lime Chicken Breast, which can almost always be found ready-to-eat in her home refrigerator. In her free time, Kieley can be found on the golf course, on the open water, or chasing her three-year-old twin boys, usually in opposite directions.

John Staples

John Staples

Senior Director of Foodservice Sales

John Staples is all about the four Fs: Faith, Family, Friends, and Food! His career journey spans more than 35 years of marketing management roles with leading food companies including Tyson, Smithfield, Mrs. Smith's Bakeries, and joining the Eddy team in 2020. John is a die-hard Crimson Tide fan thanks to earning both a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Alabama. John believes in the “Total Team Approach” to accomplish all strategic objectives, and he is eager to work with each Eddy Foods Team Member to build a Protein Powerhouse! John and his wife, Kym, have three children and four grandchildren and enjoy the empty nester life in Northport, Alabama.

Steve Dragoo

Director of Marketing and Business Development

Steve Dragoo’s primary focus is on building a stronger company—both people and brands. This often includes mentoring young businesspeople, working alongside committed professionals to glean new perspectives, and striving to implement fresh ideas with EDDY’s great customers and business partners. Steve serves as the Director of Marketing and Business Development at EDDY Foods, following over 40 years of food and meat industry experience—including 15 years as the owner of a food-centric training, consulting, and experience design business. Steve was educated at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Georgia State University and holds designations as a Certified Master Trainer and Certified Experience Expert. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Nancy, and they have three grown children and five grandchildren. His go-to EDDY Foods item is the flavorful Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage. In his leisure time, Steve enjoys working out, reading, performing karaoke, traveling, and cheering for his favorite college basketball and NFL teams.
